Refunds and cancellations

How cancelling and refunds work for everything you can pay for on Nameless Esports. Refunds always go back to the original payment method; card refunds usually take 5 to 10 business days to appear.

1. NEXUS and Broadcast Studio subscriptions

  • Cancel any time. Cancel from Billing in your account (or the Stripe customer portal linked there). Your plan stays active, with all its perks, until the end of the period you already paid for, and then it stops renewing. We email you a confirmation.
  • No refunds for the current period. Cancelling does not refund the time left in the period you paid for, except for EU and UK withdrawals below or where the law requires it.
  • Changing plans. Moving to another NEXUS plan, or between monthly and yearly, takes effect at once: the difference is prorated and charged (or credited) straight away, and a free trial ends. If your card is declined, you stay on your old plan. Adding, changing or removing Broadcast Studio on a NEXUS plan is prorated on your next invoice.
  • Free trials. When offered, a trial is for NEXUS plans only and for your first subscription only; Broadcast Studio has no trial. The length is shown at checkout and we email you before it ends. Cancel before the trial ends and you are not charged.
  • Yearly plans. We email a reminder before a yearly plan renews. A yearly plan cancelled mid-year runs to the end of its year.
  • Failed payments. Stripe retries a failed renewal and we ask you to update your card. Your perks continue for up to 7 days after the period ends while the payment is retried.
  • EU, EEA and UK customers: 14-day withdrawal. If your billing address is in the EU, the EEA or the UK, you can withdraw from a new subscription within 14 days of buying it, from Billing. The plan ends at once and we refund what you paid minus the days you used. Our team sends this refund by hand; the confirmation email shows the amount.
  • Gifted and parent-paid plans. A plan a parent pays for is managed and cancelled by the parent. Plans we gave for free cannot be cancelled from Billing; contact us.
  • Broadcast Studio founding access. Founding producers with free beta access pay nothing, so there is nothing to refund. When founding access ends, a paid plan is needed to keep using Broadcast Studio.

2. Community memberships

  • Cancel any time from Manage membership on the community's page, which opens Stripe's customer portal. Memberships are billed monthly.
  • Switching tiers is prorated on your next invoice.
  • Refunds. Membership payments go to the community. If you think you should get money back (for example, perks you paid for were not delivered), ask the community first, then contact us. If a payment is fully refunded or disputed, the membership ends.
  • If a community closes, memberships are set to end at the end of the current period and do not renew.

3. Event entry fees and passes

Most events on Nameless Arena are free. Where an event charges for entry or passes:

  • Withdrawing. If the organizer turned on automatic refunds and the event's refund deadline (shown on the event) has not passed, withdrawing your entry refunds it in full, including extra seats you paid for. Otherwise the organizer decides whether to refund, in full or in part, from their console.
  • Cancelled events. If an organizer cancels an event, paid entry fees are refunded through the original payment.
  • After the event is paid out. Once the organizer has received the event's money, refunds come from the organizer directly.
  • Unpaid entries. If you do not finish paying before checkout expires, you are not charged and the entry may lose its place.

4. Coaching

  • Card holds. When you propose times to a coach, we place a hold on your card and charge it only when the coach accepts a time. If the coach declines, you withdraw the request, or there is no answer by the deadline (the earlier of 24 hours after you asked or 60 minutes before your earliest proposed time), the hold is released and you are not charged. When a coach has instant booking, you pay when you book.
  • Your one free change. Your first cancel or reschedule ever is free, whenever you make it. After that, each cancel or reschedule you make costs 50% of one session. Our team settles that fee with you (or waives it), and you cannot book again or refund a purchase until it is settled. You cannot cancel or move a session once it has started, or move it into the next 24 hours.
  • Changes by the coach or by us never cost you anything and do not use your free change.
  • A cancelled session goes back to you. Cancelling (by you, the coach or us) returns the session to your purchase so you can book it again; it is not a money refund on its own.
  • Refunding a purchase you have not used. If no session on a purchase has been booked, requested or used and you owe no fee, you can refund it in full, card processing included, with the Refund button in your coaching account.
  • Unused sessions in a partly used pack. Contact us and we refund each unused session at its share of the coach price and Nameless fee. Card processing is not refunded. Packs do not expire.
  • Monthly coaching plans are not refunded. Cancel them and they end at the end of the paid month. Unused sessions do not roll over.
  • Expedite fee. A session starting within 24 hours costs $10 extra, charged only when the coach confirms a time inside that window. It is refunded if the coach or we cancel the session. It is not refunded if you cancel.
  • Something went wrong? Report a problem from your coaching account up to 48 hours after the session ends (for example, the coach did not show up or the session was cut short). The coach's pay for that session is held for those 48 hours, and your report pauses it. Our team reviews it and either pays the coach or refunds you that session's share of the coach price and Nameless fee. After 48 hours, contact us instead.
  • Missed sessions. If you miss a session, it counts as used.

5. Store orders

Store orders are taken, made and shipped by our partner Fourthwall, and returns go through Fourthwall. Our current policy, from the store returns and FAQ page:

  • Products are made to order, so we do not accept general or sizing returns.
  • If an item has a print error or a visible quality problem, we replace or refund it within 30 days of purchase. Send clear photos through the order help form.
  • Donations and tips in the store cannot be cancelled or refunded.

6. Chargebacks

Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank; we can usually fix it faster. When a payment is disputed, what it paid for is paused or ended while the dispute is open (for example, a membership ends and a coach's pay for that purchase is held).

7. Contact

For a refund or cancellation question, email contact@namelessesports.com with the email on your account and what the payment was for. These rules are part of our Terms of Service. Nothing here limits any rights you have under the consumer laws where you live.
