1. Who sets the rules
Every event is run by its organizer: a community, team, school, creator or Nameless Esports itself. The organizer decides the format, schedule, eligibility and match rules, and settles disputes. These platform rules fill any gap and set the minimum for fair play everywhere.
Our community rules and Terms of Service apply on top of these, in every event.
2. Accounts and eligibility
- One Nameless account per person. Play only on your own account, in the game and on the platform.
- Link the game and platform accounts an event asks for before you register. The event page lists them.
- Players under 13 take part only through a parent account (see family accounts).
- An event may limit entry by region, age, school, rank or anything else it states on its page. Entering an event you are not eligible for can mean removal or forfeits.
3. Teams and rosters
- Only players on your registered roster may play. Captains keep the roster up to date on the event page.
- Rosters lock when check-in closes for tournaments, and at the season's roster deadline for leagues, unless the event sets another rule. After the lock, changes need the organizer.
- A player may play for one team per event.
4. Check-in and no-shows
- When an event uses check-in, it opens 60 minutes before the start and stays open for 15 minutes after it, unless the event sets other times. Teams that do not check in can be dropped from the bracket.
- For a scheduled match, both teams have 10 minutes after the start time to be ready in the match room. A team that is not ready by then can be given a forfeit loss.
- All times on Nameless Arena are shown in your own time zone.
5. Reporting results
- After the match, one captain reports the score in the match room and the other confirms it.
- A report nobody answers stands after 10 minutes, unless the event sets a different time.
- Keep screenshots of every game's final scoreboard until the event is over. Organizers and the two teams can see screenshots added to a match; the public cannot.
- Reporting a score you know is wrong is cheating.
6. Disputes
- If the other team reports a wrong score, report the score you have or open a dispute from the match room, with your reason and screenshots.
- A confirmed result can be disputed for 15 minutes after both teams have reported, and not once a later match in the same path has started. The match room shows the time left.
- The organizer reviews the evidence and decides. Their decision is final for the event.
7. Fair play
- No cheats, exploits the event bans, account sharing, smurfing to enter a lower bracket, or agreeing results in advance.
- Disconnects and remakes follow the event's rules for the game. If the event says nothing, the teams agree in match chat and an organizer settles a disagreement.
- Breaking these rules can mean forfeits, removal from the event and action on your account under our community rules.
8. Seeding and pairings
- Organizers seed events by hand, from rankings or by a random draw. A random draw is made on our servers from a recorded seed, so it can be checked afterwards.
- Swiss rounds never pair the same two teams twice unless no other pairing is possible. Double elimination brackets avoid early rematches where the seeding allows.
9. Postponed and cancelled events
- An organizer can postpone an event. Nothing is lost: entries and results stay, matches wait, and the event resumes where it stopped. Everyone entered is told.
- An organizer can cancel an event. Matches not yet played are cancelled, paid entry fees are refunded through the original payment, and everyone entered is told.
- Postponed and cancelled events are marked as such on their page and in event listings.
10. Prizes
- The event page states the prizes, who pays them and how. Organizers who run their own events pay their own prizes.
- For events Nameless Esports runs, cash winners claim their prize from the event page, which can include a tax form.
- If a result is corrected after prizes are set up, unpaid prizes are reviewed and reassigned. Prizes already paid are not taken back automatically; the organizer decides.
