How to Stream Your Tournament with Broadcast Studio

To stream a tournament you need broadcast software (OBS or vMix), overlays that show the score, bracket and standings, and a way to bring casters in. Broadcast Studio is our Windows app that runs next to OBS or vMix and supplies those overlays as live sources, updated from your event, plus tools for remote casters, rundowns and replays.

What you need

A basic tournament stream has four parts.

  • Broadcast software: OBS Studio (free) or vMix
  • Graphics: a scorebar, the bracket, standings and starting soon or break screens
  • Game capture: an observer or spectator client for the match
  • Talent: one or two casters, in the room or remote

How Broadcast Studio fits in

Broadcast Studio runs on Windows 10 or 11 beside OBS or vMix. It gives you live HUDs and scorebars, brackets, standings and break screens as browser sources (or a generated scene collection), brand kits so everything matches your colors, rooms for remote casters and observers, a rundown with hotkeys and Stream Deck support, and replays and highlights.

It can import events from Nameless Arena and from other platforms, including start.gg and Challonge, so names, scores and the bracket come from your event instead of being typed by hand.

Connect your event

Organizers of an Arena event can add casters to it, and the Studio reads the event's teams, matches and results. If you want anyone to be able to read your event's live data (for example a community member producing the stream), you can turn on a public read-only feed for the event.

A simple run of show

Keep the first stream simple.

  • Starting soon screen with the bracket, 10 minutes before the first match
  • Feature one match at a time; show the bracket between matches
  • Casters introduce both teams, call the games, and read out results
  • Break screen with standings between rounds
  • Winner screen and a thank you to the teams and sponsors

Getting access

Broadcast Studio is available now, with paid plans from $19.99 a month. Pick a plan on the Studio site, download the app and sign in with your Nameless account.
